Moustapha Thiam Michigan basketball is one of the key storylines as Tim McCormick breaks down the Wolverines ahead of the 2026-27 college basketball season, including the players who could make the biggest impact, Michigan’s strengths on both ends of the floor, and what to watch as the season gets underway.
Tim takes a closer look at Michigan newcomers Quinn Costello and Moustapha Thiam, the return of veteran forward Jalen Reed, and a talented Wolverines backcourt led by Elliot Cadeau and Trey McKenney. How good can Michigan be defensively? Can the Wolverines dominate the glass? And could Costello eventually develop into one of Michigan basketball’s next great shooters?
The conversation also looks back at some of the greatest shooters in Michigan basketball history, including Wolverine legend Glen Rice, and the standard they established in Ann Arbor.
Plus, Tim previews Michigan’s upcoming matchup with Eastern Michigan and discusses former Wolverines who went on to become NBA All-Stars.
